Users may experience unexpected crashes in Remote Desktop Manager when running versions 2024.1 through 2024.3.

Step 1: Verify required dependencies

Step 2: Update Remote Desktop Manager

Make sure you are running the latest available version of Remote Desktop Manager. Newer builds may include stability improvements and crash fixes not present in earlier releases.

Step 3: Reset local Remote Desktop Manager data

  1. Close Remote Desktop Manager.

  2. Navigate to %localappdata%\\Devolutions.

  3. Rename the Remote Desktop Manager folder to RemoteDesktopManager.old.

  4. Relaunch Remote Desktop Manager.

  5. Reconnect to your data source.

Step 4: Adjust Remote Desktop Manager settings

  • In File – Settings, set Wait progress mode to Status bar.File – Settings – Wait progress mode

  • Verify that the Wait-Loading Progress Bar is enabled for all web sessions.

  • Switch all RDP sessions to FreeRDP for testing purposes.
