# Macros

Macros automate repetitive input by simulating keystrokes, helping administrators streamline tasks in Remote Desktop Manager. Typing macros remove manual steps during remote sessions, such as entering usernames or navigating prompts.

Attach macros to events: before open, after open, before close, and after close—to run them automatically around a connection lifecycle. Store reusable macros in vaults and combine them with scripts when needed to standardize workflows.
