Retrieve data from a .dod file

This procedure explains how to retrieve data from a .dod file located in the Remote Desktop Manager configuration folder.

  1. In the Remote Desktop Manager configuration folder, search for .dod files.

  2. Inside this folder, locate the subfolders with long series of numbers and letters, for example: 7ae3a7d4-16b7-41ke-y0af-4bb19807f11e.

  3. Open these subfolders until you find the file named in this format: youremail@email.com-connections.dod.

  4. Copy the full path of this file, including the filename. For example: C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager\7ae3a7d4-16b7-41ke-y0af-4bb19807f11e\youremail@email.com-connections.dod.

  5. In Remote Desktop Manager, go to File – Data sources and add a new XML data source.

  6. Name the data source, then paste the copied path into the Filename field.

  7. Click Add. This will give you access to your Devolutions Online Drive data.

  8. Follow the data migration procedure to export your data so that you can import it into Devolutions Hub Personal.
