Password policies in Devolutions Server define reusable rules for generating passwords that meet your organization’s security policy. The policies control length, character sets, and special requirements such as avoiding similar characters or enforcing passphrase styles.
When users create or rotate a credential entry, the password generator uses these policies so that passwords are both strong and consistent across vaults. An administrator might, for example, configure stricter policies for privileged accounts than for standard business applications, and rely on Remote Desktop Manager or Workspace to inject those passwords without exposing them.
