Lost the master key set on the Devolutions Password Manager desktop app

To perform a clean installation of the Devolutions Password Manager desktop app for Windows or to reset the application in case the master key is lost, delete the local data file.

1. Close Devolutions Password Manager.

2. Find and delete the shared_preferences.json file (default path: %AppData%\net.devolutions\Workspace).

3. Launch Devolutions Password Manager.

To perform a clean installation of the Devolutions Password Manager desktop app for macOS or to reset the application in case the master key is lost, delete the local data file.

1. Close Devolutions Password Manager.

2. Execute the following command in the Terminal: defaults delete net.devolutions.authenticator

3. Launch Devolutions Password Manager.

1. Close Devolutions Password Manager.

2. Find and delete the shared_preferences.json file (default path: /home/<user>/.local/share/Workspace/).
