# Microsoft Azure SQL

Follow the instructions below to set up a Microsoft Azure SQL database with Devolutions Server:

1. Create an empty SQL database on your Microsoft Azure SQL portal.
2. [Provide enough privileges to the account](https://docs.devolutions.net/server/kb/knowledge-base/pre-deployment-account-survey/#windows-sql-accounts) to be used for the database connection in the Devolutions Server Console.
3. Launch the [Devolutions Server installation process](https://docs.devolutions.net/server/getting-started/installation/create-server-instance/) and complete the wizard.
