# Configurar la herencia de credenciales en entradas de Devolutions Server

La herencia de credenciales permite que una entrada utilice automáticamente las credenciales definidas en su carpeta o entrada principal, en lugar de almacenar las suyas propias. Esto reduce la gestión de credenciales duplicadas y mantiene el acceso centralizado a nivel de carpeta o bóveda.

#### Configurar la carpeta o entrada principal con credenciales

Antes de que las entradas secundarias puedan heredar credenciales, la principal debe tener sus propias credenciales configuradas correctamente.

1. En Devolutions Server, seleccione la carpeta o entrada que actuará como origen de las credenciales.
2. Abra ***Propiedades***.
3. Vaya a ***Común*** – ***General*** – ***Credenciales***.
4. Seleccione cómo se proporcionan las credenciales en el menú desplegable *​*​***Credenciales***​*​*.
5. Introduzca las credenciales que se heredarán, según lo que haya seleccionado en el menú desplegable *​*​***Credenciales***​*​*.

6. Guarde la carpeta o entrada.

#### Configurar la herencia en una entrada secundaria

1. Seleccione la entrada que desea configurar.
2. Abra ***Propiedades***.
3. Vaya a ***Común*** – ***General*** – ***Credenciales***.
4. Seleccione ***Heredado***.

5. Guarde la entrada.

La entrada ahora utiliza las credenciales definidas en su elemento principal. Repita estos pasos para cada entrada secundaria que deba heredar del mismo elemento principal.
