# Einstellungen überschreiben

Mit den Einstellungen zum Überschreiben in Devolutions Server können Sie Konfigurationswerte für bestimmte Bereiche ändern, ohne die zugrunde liegenden Systemstandardwerte zu verändern. Sie können Optionen wie Verbindungstimeouts, Anzeigeeinstellungen oder Sicherheitsabfragen für einen bestimmten Tresor, Ordner oder Eintrag überschreiben, wenn deren Anforderungen von der globalen Konfiguration abweichen.

Dieser mehrschichtige Ansatz erleichtert die Einführung von Standardrichtlinien und lässt gleichzeitig Ausnahmen zu. Beispielsweise können Sie für Produktionsserver strenge Bestätigungsabfragen und kürzere Timeouts erzwingen, indem Sie die Einstellungen für deren Ordner überschreiben, ohne weniger kritische Laborumgebungen zu beeinträchtigen.
