# Lizenzen

Lizenzen in Devolutions Server steuern, welche Funktionen verfügbar sind und wie viele Benutzer in der gesamten Bereitstellung darauf zugreifen können. Über Administration - Lizenzen registrieren Administratoren Seriennummern, weisen sie automatisch oder pro Benutzer zu und verwalten spezielle Lizenztypen wie Workforce Password Management, die auf Systemebene und nicht für einzelne Personen gelten. Die Lizenzen selbst werden im Devolutions Portal erworben und erneuert und anschließend zur Durchsetzung und Berichterstattung mit Devolutions Server synchronisiert.

Ein typischer Arbeitsablauf besteht darin, nach einem Upgrade eine neue Lizenz hinzuzufügen, sie automatisch allen aktiven Benutzern zuzuweisen und dann anhand von Berichten den Verbrauch vor der nächsten Erneuerung zu überprüfen.
