# Scripts

Scripts in the Devolutions Server ecosystem automate privileged or repetitive tasks such as password propagation, account onboarding, and reporting. In the PAM module, propagation scripts reset provider passwords and push new values to dependent services, while script templates help standardize and reuse logic across environments.

For broader automation, Devolutions PowerShell can call the Devolutions Server API to create entries, manage users, or schedule maintenance. A common pattern is to rotate a service account in Devolutions PAM and use a propagation script to update all linked Windows services without manual intervention.
