# SQL Server installation fails

Attempting to install SQL Server with Devolutions Server Console on a machine that does not already have SQL Server installed causes the process to fail. This issue occurs in version 2025.1 of the Devolutions Server Console.

### Solution

The issue can be bypassed by performing a manual installation of SQL Server Express.
