# VMware synchronizer

Every field from the ***VMware synchronizer entry*** is described below.

{% hint style="info" %}
In order for the entry’s feature to work properly, the ***Read-only*** and ***Virtual machine user*** roles are required on VMware’s side. These respectively allow you to synchronize and perform actions such as shutting down and renaming virtual machines.The ***Schedule tab*** is only available in a Devolutions Server workspace. It also requires Devolutions Server ***Scheduler*** to be set up.
{% endhint %}

### Synchronizer

The entry can be found under ***New entry*** – ***Synchronizer.***
