# Import credential entries from a CSV file using templates

Here are the steps to import credentials from a CSV file using a credential template.

1. Go in ***File - Templates - Entry Templates***.
2. Click on the + button to add a new template.
3. Select ***Username/Password*** in the ***Credential Entry*** section.
4. Set all required parameters and the template name and then click ***OK*** to save the template.
5. Create the CSV file that contains all credentials you want to import in Remote Desktop Manager.
6. Go in ***File - Import - Import Generic Csv Wizard***.
7. Select the file you want to import.
8. Select ***Template*** in the drop down menu and click ***Next***.
9. Select the ***Credential template*** from the ***Shared*** or ***Local*** tab.
10. Click ***Next*** and on the ***Finish*** button to import the ***Credential entries***.
