# Quickly deploy Remote Desktop Manager

Get an overview of quickly deploying Remote Desktop Manager, from installation and workspace setup to licensing and first entries.

This guide walks you through the steps for a quick onboarding of Remote Desktop Manager, centralizing remote connection technologies, credentials, and securing access to these resources.

1. Download Remote Desktop Manager from [Devolutions' website](https://devolutions.net/remote-desktop-manager/download/) and install it.

Devolutions offers a couple of options when it comes to the installation files. Choose the one that best fits your needs.

2. Choose the appropriate workspace to store your data:
 * [SQLite](/rdm/getting-started/workspaces/workspace-types/local-workspaces/sqlite.md) (default local)
 * [Devolutions Server](https://docs.devolutions.net/server) (self-hosted)
 * [Devolutions Cloud](https://docs.devolutions.net/cloud) (cloud-based)
3. [Add a new workspace](/rdm/getting-started/workspaces/create-a-workspace.md) in Remote Desktop Manager. Once this step is completed, you can begin the onboarding process.
4. Head to ***Administration*** – ***Licenses***, and [add a license](/rdm/ribbon-menu-bar/administration/licenses.md).
5. With the initial setup and licenses added, you can proceed to [create your first entries](/rdm/ribbon-menu-bar/edit/create-an-entry.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/knowledge-base/how-to-articles/quickly-deploy-remote-desktop-manager.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
