# Ottimizzazione della memoria delle sessioni RDP

Per impostazione predefinita, il protocollo RDP riserva una quantità considerevole di memoria fin dall'inizio di una sessione a scopo di caching, ma abbiamo un certo livello di controllo su questo aspetto. Nella scheda ***Experience*** della sessione RDP è presente un'impostazione ***Cache*** che può utilizzare per controllarne il comportamento.

Ecco cosa fa ciascuna modalità:

| Default     | Utilizza il valore impostato in ***File – Settings – Types – Remote Desktop – Cache***.                                                                                                              |
| Full mode   | Il protocollo utilizza la cache completa del Remote Desktop Protocol di Windows 8.                                                                                                                   |
| Thin client | Il protocollo è limitato all'utilizzo del codec RemoteFX di Windows 7 con SP1 e di una cache più piccola. Tutti gli altri codec sono disabilitati. Questo protocollo ha il minor consumo di memoria. |
| Small cache | Il protocollo è lo stesso di ***Full mode***, tranne per il fatto che utilizza una cache più piccola.                                                                                                |

Scegliere ***Thin client*** è quindi la scelta che limita maggiormente il consumo di memoria, ma comporta il downgrade alla versione precedente del protocollo. La modalità ***Small Cache*** potrebbe essere sufficiente per le sue esigenze se ha bisogno delle funzionalità più recenti del protocollo RDP.

Potrebbe voler impostare questo valore per tutte le sessioni. In tal caso, vada in ***File – Settings – Types – Remote Desktop – Cache*** per assegnare il valore predefinito, quindi utilizzi ***Default*** in tutte le sue sessioni.
