Native workspaces

Native workspaces are highly configurable and typically running on an advanced management system such as a database management system or Devolutions own online services.

They greatly increase the set of managing features available to administrators, such as:

• Document uploads and entry attachments
• Auditing and logging
• Advanced security with user management
• Offline mode
• Multifactor authentication

Currently, the native workspaces are:

• Devolutions Cloud
• Devolutions Server

Choosing the right native workspace

This section is intended for teams planning to use Devolutions Server or Devolutions Cloud as their workspace.

To assist with selecting the appropriate workspace, here is a set of concerns and the list of workspaces that can serve in such a context.

When choosing a non-on-premises workspace, it is important to account for the security of data both at rest and in transit. It is strongly recommended to further encrypt data using a master key for file-based solutions or a security provider for advanced workspaces, ensuring that only authorized parties can access the data.
