# Passer hors connexion ou en ligne

Activez le [mode hors ligne](/rdm/fr/getting-started/workspaces/offline-mode.md) en utilisant l'option ***Fichier – Passer en mode hors ligne***. Utilisez le mode hors ligne pour vous connecter à une copie locale de l'espace de travail lorsque la base de données distante n'est pas disponible. C'est utile lorsque vous travaillez à distance et que le réseau est inaccessible ou en cas de problème de connectivité quelconque.

La disponibilité du mode hors ligne dépend de plusieurs paramètres. Consultez [Mode hors ligne](/rdm/fr/getting-started/workspaces/offline-mode.md) pour plus d'information.

#### Sécurité

Il y a des considérations de sécurité à prendre en compte lors de l'activation du mode hors ligne. Le paramètre le plus bas (en termes de sécurité) prévaut sur les autres, ce qui peut vous empêcher d'utiliser le mode hors ligne. Si le bouton ***Passer en mode hors ligne*** n'est pas disponible, veuillez consulter votre administrateur.
