# Impossible de désinstaller ou de mettre à jour Remote Desktop Manager

Corrigez l'erreur 1714 de Remote Desktop Manager qui bloque la désinstallation ou la mise à jour en exécutant l'utilitaire de résolution des problèmes d'installation et de désinstallation de programme

Ce problème se produit lorsqu'un utilisateur tente de mettre à niveau ou de désinstaller Remote Desktop Manager, et que la désinstallation dans ***Panneau de configuration*** – ***Programmes*** – ***Programmes et fonctionnalités*** de Windows ne résout pas le problème.

Voici le message d'erreur dans l'Observateur d'événements :\
`Product: Remote Desktop Manager -- Error 1714. The older version of Remote Desktop Manager cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group. System Error 1612.`

### Solution

La solution consiste à désinstaller complètement Remote Desktop Manager à l'aide de l'outil Microsoft [***Utilitaire de résolution des problèmes d'installation et de désinstallation de programmes***](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d).

Pour mettre à jour une instance existante, Remote Desktop Manager doit être réinstallé. Notez que le processus de désinstallation de Devolutions ne supprime pas les données ni les configurations personnelles (situées par défaut dans **%LOCALAPPDATA%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager**).

Si l'installateur signale toujours une erreur, exécutez l'installateur à partir de la ligne de commande en utilisant ces paramètres adaptés à votre environnement :

```
msiexec /i "{Name of msi package" /L*V "Name of log file"}
```

Exemple :

```
msiexec /i "Setup.RemoteDesktopManager.11.7.6.0.msi" /L*V "C:\log\RdmInstall.log"
```
