# SqlException - délai d'expiration dépassé

`SqlException - timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.`

Cette erreur survient lorsqu'une opération SQL prend trop de temps à s'exécuter, souvent parce que le serveur ne répond pas ou que la requête dépasse la période de délai d'attente configurée.

### Solution

De grandes quantités de données historiques ou de journaux dans la base de données peuvent entraîner des réponses lentes. Utilisez la fonctionnalité [Nettoyage](https://docs.devolutions.net/fr/rdm/commands/administration/) pour supprimer les données inutiles et améliorer les performances.
