# Offline oder online gehen

Aktivieren Sie den [Offline-Modus](/rdm/de/getting-started/workspaces/offline-mode.md) über die Option ***Datei – Offline gehen***. Verwenden Sie den Offline-Modus, um sich mit einer lokalen Kopie der Datenquelle zu verbinden, wenn die entfernte Datenbank nicht verfügbar ist. Dies ist nützlich, wenn Sie von einem entfernten Standort aus arbeiten und das Netzwerk nicht erreichbar ist oder wenn irgendein Konnektivitätsproblem vorliegt.

#### Sicherheit

Bei der Aktivierung des Offline-Modus sind Sicherheitsaspekte zu berücksichtigen. Die niedrigste Einstellung (in Bezug auf die Sicherheit) hat Vorrang vor den anderen, was Sie möglicherweise daran hindert, den Offline-Modus zu verwenden. Wenn die Schaltfläche ***Offline gehen*** nicht verfügbar ist, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Administrator.
