# Authenticator (TOTP)

Remote Desktop Manager ermöglicht Ihnen die Verwendung eines ***Authenticator (TOTP)*** wie der [mobilen Devolutions Password Manager-App](https://devolutions.net/workspace/) oder einer anderen Authenticator-App, um beim Öffnen einer Datenquelle eine zusätzliche Sicherheitsebene bereitzustellen.

Stellen Sie vor Beginn der Konfiguration sicher, dass Sie die [mobile Devolutions Password Manager-App](https://devolutions.net/workspace/) oder eine andere Authenticator-App auf einem unterstützten Gerät installiert haben.

1. Falls noch nicht erfolgt, führen Sie zunächst diese [Konfigurationsschritte für die Multifaktor-Authentifizierung](/rdm/de/getting-started/workspaces/multifactor-authentication.md) aus.
2. Nachdem Sie den MFA-Typ ***Authenticator (TOTP)*** ausgewählt haben, klicken Sie auf ***Configure***.
3. Scannen Sie den QR-Code, der im Fenster ***Authenticator setup*** erscheint, mit Ihrer Geräteanwendung.
4. Geben Sie den vom ***Authenticator (TOTP)*** bereitgestellten ***Validation code*** ein.
5. Klicken Sie auf ***Validate***.
6. Starten Sie Remote Desktop Manager neu, damit Sie zur Eingabe des ***Authenticator (TOTP)***-Codes aufgefordert werden.
