The user vault is a user-centric vault for entries of any type. It allows each user to create entries that only they can access.
The user vault is available for all advanced workspaces.
Credentials stored in the user vault can be used in two ways:
From a session using the user vault search.
When using the User-specific settings feature.
In both cases, the credential must either be used from within the user vault itself, or referenced through a user-specific override — it cannot be referenced directly from a shared entry.
A User settings vault is automatically created for each user on supported workspaces (SQL Server, Devolutions Server, or Devolutions Cloud) . This vault stores the MRU (most recently used) list and user-specific settings/overrides. It is separate from the user vault.
Unlike the user vault, the User settings vault cannot be disabled. Turning off Allow user vault in Administration – System settings – Vault does not affect it. User-specific data continues to be stored and synchronized regardless of that setting.
