Ved datatab på grund af hardwarefejl er det stadig muligt at gendanne data fra lagerenheden, hvis den stadig kan bruges. ### Løsning 1. På den lagerenhed, der fejlede, skal De gå til **C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Devolutions** og kopiere hele mappen RemoteDesktopManager eller RemoteDesktopManagerFree. Denne mappe indeholder det lokale arbejdsområde (SQLite eller XML) samt Deres konfigurationsfil. 2. Indsæt mappen på samme sted på den nye computer, så bør De få Deres data tilbage.

Den sti, der er nævnt her, gælder for dem, der har installeret med standardindstillingerne. Den bedste måde at finde konfigurationsmappen på er at bruge Fil – Indstillinger – Avanceret. I dette vindue finder De et hyperlink nær bunden. Det åbner konfigurationsmappen.

Filbaserede arbejdsområder (XML, SQLite osv.) gemmes som standard i den konfigurationsmappe. Som forholdsregel skal De gennemgå hvert arbejdsområde under Fil – Arbejdsområder og se på den lokale sti, hvis der er en. Alle filer i konfigurationsmappen bør kopieres for at sikre fuld datagendannelse.
