# Bedste praksis for arbejdsområder

Anvend bedste praksis for arbejdsområder i Remote Desktop Manager, herunder boksstruktur, nedarvning og tilknytning af legitimationsoplysninger, for at forenkle vedligeholdelsen på lang sigt.

Konfiguration af en database kan føre til problemer, f.eks. at alt samles i en enkelt [boks](/rdm/da/concepts/basic-concepts/vaults.md), eller at der bruges for mange [brugerspecifikke indstillinger](/rdm/da/ribbon-menu-bar/edit/specific-settings.md). Her kan De se, hvordan De undgår disse problemer og opretter en struktur, der er lettere at vedligeholde.

### Optimer arbejdsområdets struktur

Opdel [arbejdsområdet](/rdm/da/concepts/basic-concepts/workspaces.md) i [bokse](/rdm/da/concepts/basic-concepts/vaults.md). Det anbefales, at boksposter organiseres i [mapper](/rdm/da/concepts/basic-concepts/folders.md), så [nedarvning](/rdm/da/concepts/intermediate-concepts/inheritance.md) er mulig.

### Nedarvning

[Nedarvning](/rdm/da/concepts/intermediate-concepts/inheritance.md) betyder, at visse egenskaber eller attributter for en post på et højere niveau automatisk videregives til poster på et lavere niveau, der ***nedarver*** fra den. Det reducerer behovet for gentagne postspecifikke indstillinger.

### Tilknytning af legitimationsoplysninger

Opret en legitimationspost, der skal knyttes til en fjernforbindelse, så forbindelsen kan oprettes uden at skulle se eller få adgang til legitimationsoplysningerne. Legitimationsoplysningerne behøver ikke længere at blive opdateret i flere poster. Fjernforbindelser henter dem automatisk fra den tilknyttede legitimationspost.

1. Opret en ny ***legitimationspost*** (f.eks. en post af typen ***Brugernavn og adgangskode***), og angiv oplysningerne.
2. Åbn en ***fjernforbindelsespost***, f.eks. en RDP-post.
3. Gå til ***egenskaber.***
4. Åbn ***rullemenuen Legitimationsoplysninger***, og klik på ***Tilknyttet*** (boks).
5. Vælg legitimationsposten i ***rullemenuen legitimationsoplysninger***.
6. Klik på ***Opdater*** for at gemme og lukke vinduet.
7. Åbn posten.
8. Fjernforbindelsen bruger derefter automatisk legitimationsoplysningerne fra den tilknyttede post.
