Navigation pane
The navigation pane is one of the main components of the Remote Desktop Manager user interface. It lists all available entries in the current workspace and allows to switch to another workspace or vault.
Workspace selector
Allows to switch to another configured workspace. Note that the selector can be moved or made invisible by changing the Workspace location setting in File – Settings – User interface – Workspaces.
Vault selector
Allows to switch to another configured vault in the workspace.
Entry list
Displays the content of the current workspace, depending on the selected tab. It allows to select entries and perform action on them.
Navigation bar tabs
Allows to switch to different views of the entry list, such as the Favorites or the Opened sessions. The bar can be moved to the side, the bottom, or the top of the window, and its tabs can be reordered, hidden, or moved into an overflow menu, as described in the Navigation layout menu section below.
Pinned vaults
Vaults pinned to the navigation bar for direct access. Right-click a vault and select Pin '<vault name>' to add it, or Unpin '<vault name>' to remove it.

Appears at the end of the navigation bar when the tabs do not all fit, or when a tab has been assigned to the overflow menu. It lists the remaining tabs.
Column chooser
Choose the columns to display in the tree view. Right-clicking on the column name in the navigation pane and select Column chooser.
Navigation layout menu
Right-click the navigation bar to open the navigation layout menu, which controls which tabs appear and where the surrounding panels are placed.
Pin / Unpin '<vault name>'
Pins the targeted vault to the navigation bar, or removes it. Only displayed when right-clicking a vault.
Layout options
Shows or hides the top pane and the status bar, and switches the ribbon between its standard and Simplified ribbon layouts.
Navigation bar tabs
Shows or hides each tab individually: User vault, System vault, Pinned vault, Favorites, Opened sessions, and Recent.
Navigation bar position
Places the navigation bar at the Bottom, on the Side, or at the Top of the window.
Workspace location
Places the workspace selector in Navigation pane (top), Navigation pane (bottom), Status bar, or sets it to Hidden.
Vault location
Places the vault selector in Navigation pane (top), Navigation pane (bottom), or sets it to Hidden.
Quick connect location
Places Quick connect in the Status bar, in the Quick Access Toolbar, or sets it to Hidden.
Filter location
Places the search and filter bar in Navigation pane (top), Navigation pane (bottom), Status bar, or sets it to Hidden.
Customize
Opens the navigation bar customization window described below.
Customize the navigation bar
Select Customize in the navigation layout menu to reorder the navigation bar tabs and choose where each one appears.
Move up / Move down
Changes the order in which the tabs appear in the navigation bar.
Placement
Sets where the selected tab is displayed:
Top / Left: at the start of the navigation bar, depending on its orientation.
Bottom / Right: at the end of the navigation bar, depending on its orientation.
More: in the overflow menu at the end of the navigation bar.
Hidden: not displayed. Not available for mandatory tabs.
Reset layout
Restores the default order and placement of every tab.
