# Navigation pane

The navigation pane in Remote Desktop Manager lists entries in the current workspace and lets you switch workspace or vault.

The ***navigation pane*** is one of the main components of the Remote Desktop Manager user interface. It lists all available entries in the current workspace and allows to switch to another workspace or vault.

It allows to select entries and perform action on them.</td></tr><tr><td>Navigation bar tabs</td><td>Allows to switch to different views of the entry list, such as the <em><strong>Favorites</strong></em> or the <em><strong>Opened sessions</strong></em>. The bar can be moved to the side, the bottom, or the top of the window, and its tabs can be reordered, hidden, or moved into an overflow menu, as described in the <em><strong>Navigation layout menu</strong></em> section below.</td></tr><tr><td>Pinned vaults</td><td>Vaults pinned to the navigation bar for direct access. Right-click a vault and select <em><strong>Pin '&#x3C;vault name>'</strong></em> to add it, or <em><strong>Unpin '&#x3C;vault name>'</strong></em> to remove it.</td></tr><tr><td>More</td><td>Appears at the end of the navigation bar when the tabs do not all fit, or when a tab has been assigned to the overflow menu. It lists the remaining tabs.</td></tr></tbody></table>

#### Column chooser

Choose the columns to display in the tree view. Right-clicking on the column name in the ***navigation pane*** and select ***Column chooser***.

#### Navigation layout menu

Right-click the navigation bar to open the navigation layout menu, which controls which tabs appear and where the surrounding panels are placed.

#### Customize the navigation bar

Select ***Customize*** in the navigation layout menu to reorder the navigation bar tabs and choose where each one appears.

Not available for mandatory tabs.</li></ul></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Reset layout</strong></td><td>Restores the default order and placement of every tab.</td></tr></tbody></table>
