Tree view

Go to File – Settings – User interfaceTree view to configure options related to the tree view.

DESCRIPTIONS

Tree view item height

Sets the vertical size of each item in the tree view (in pixels).

Tree view item indent

Specifies the indentation for items in the tree view.

Font size

Controls the size of the text displayed in the tree view.

Shortcut overlay

Defines how shortcut indicators are displayed over items.

Jump display queue

Determines how jump (quick connect) queue entries appear in the tree view.

Collapse all mode

Controls how the tree collapses when Collapse all mode is triggered. The available options are Exclude roots, Exclude sessions root only, and Full.

Default vault root label

Sets the default label shown at the root of vaults.

Custom color when in use

Allows assigning a custom highlight color when a session is active or selected.

Tree view culture

Enables sorting the tree view according to a specific culture, including proper ordering of special characters.

Auto-focus dashboard

  • Always: The dashboard will always become the active view when selecting a session.

  • Left-click only : The dashboard gains focus only when a session is open via a left-click.

  • Never: The dashboard does not automatically gain focus.

Auto-focus tab on item select

Controls whether clicking on a tree item brings its tab into focus.

When a tab is focused, this option determines whether the corresponding item in the tree view is auto-selected.

Advanced

Option Description
Auto-hide filter tree view  Legacy option.
Expand all tree nodes on selected credential entry Opens all tree nodes linked to the selected credential entry.
Use vault image in tree view Displays the vault image in the tree view. Vault images can be changed in Devolutions Server's web interface, by going to AdministrationVaultsEdit, clicking the current image, choosing a new one, and clicking Select.

Drag and drop

Option Description
Confirm on drag and drop move Displays a warning upon drag and drop. Useful to prevent false moves.
Disable entry drag and drop Disables the ability to drag and drop entries and folders in the tree view.
Enable parent/unparent via drag and drop Enable unpairing entries from their parents using drag and drop.

General

Option Description
Collapse tree view on clear filter Collapses open branches upon clearing tree view filter. Branches with selected entries and/or folders are left open.
Disable tree view horizontal scrollbar Removes the horizontal scrollbar in the tree view, disabling the ability to scroll from side to side in the navigation pane.
Disable tree view tooltips Disables the description text displayed when hovering over the entry in the navigation pane.
Hide archived entries Hides archived entries from the navigation pane (right-click on entry, then EditStatusArchived).
Hide disabled entries Hides disabled entries from the navigation pane (right-click on entry, then EditStatusDisabled).
Hide expired entries Hides expired entries from the navigation pane (right-click on entry, then EditStatusExpired).
Hide Macros/Scripts/Tools node Legacy option. Displays macros in a different node.
Load subentry in navigation pane tree view When unchecked, hides subentry in the navigation pane. 
Merge session tool list with sessions (local data source only) Legacy option. When unchecked, session tools are displayed in a different node. 
Open collapsed by default Folders are collapsed by default in the navigation pane when opening a data source or launching Remote Desktop Manager.
Tree view folders (bottom) Displays folders below entries of the same level. 
Use tree view alternate row coloring Enables alternating colors for rows in the navigation pane. Helps with readability.
