Devolutions integrates a wide array of technologies and third-party software. Some session types such as RDP and SSH, are core features of Remote Desktop Manager and are used by hundreds of thousands of our users. We also integrate other types that are much less popular; those are typically added at the request of users on our forum and are maintained on a best effort basis.
The purpose of this document is to describe the level of maintenance and support you can expect from Devolutions for the sessions we integrate. The classification is based on a number of factors such as:
The amount of control we have on the integration
Whether the integration is a preview, an addon or is deprecated
The popularity of the types in our user base
By default, session types that are not explicitly listed fall in Integration level 2.
This tier reflects our highest ability and commitment to resolve problems. This tier includes sessions based on popular and standardized protocols, as well as services developed by Devolutions directly. The session types most popular with our users are typically placed in this category.
This tier includes integrations were we have a moderate level of control. This typically includes integration based on an API or an SDK.
Sessions in this tier are supported on a best effort basis. The following sessions fall under this tier:
Addons
Deprecated entries
Sessions that are integrated by launching an external program from the command line fall in this tier, as options with this type integrations are the most limited. Types with very low usage levels may also be placed in this category.
The following tables lists the tiers for data sources, sessions, and credential management types.
