Synopsis

Update a gateway ruleset.

Syntax

Description

Update a gateway ruleset. Use the parameter to modify the corresponding properties.

This cmdlet was previously named Update-DSVirtualGateway. That name is still available as an alias.

Example 1

PS C:\> $gatewayId = Get-DSGateway -Name 'GatewayRulesetA' | Select-Object -ExpandProperty ID
PS C:\> $newRule = New-DSGatewayRulesetAccessRule -Access Deny -Type IP -Value '1.2.3.4'
PS C:\> Update-DSGatewayRuleset -GatewayID $gatewayId -Rule $newRule

Replace all existing access rules of the gateway ruleset for one that denies the IP address '1.2.3.4'.

PS C:\> $gateway = Get-DSGateway -Name 'GatewayRulesetA'
PS C:\> $gateway.NetworkAccessRules.AllowList.Add(@{ 'Type' = 'IP'; 'Value' = '1.2.3.4' })
PS C:\> Update-DSGatewayRuleset -Gateway $gateway

Add a new rule that allows the IP address '1.2.3.4' to the gateway ruleset.

PS C:\> $security = New-DSGatewaySecurity -VaultRoleOverride Custom -CustomVaultAccess $vaultIds -DisallowPrivateVaults

Create a security configuration with access limited to specific vaults, disallow private vaults, and apply it to a gateway ruleset.
