Remove-RDMEntryParameter
Synopsis
Remove a parameter from a command-type entry.
Syntax
ByPosition
Remove-RDMEntryParameter -InputObject <PSConnection> -Position <int> [-Set] [-PassThru]
[-VaultMode <VaultMode>] [-ForcePromptAnswer <DialogResult[]>] [-WhatIf] [-Confirm]
[<CommonParameters>]ByLabel
Remove-RDMEntryParameter -InputObject <PSConnection> -Label <string> [-Set] [-PassThru]
[-VaultMode <VaultMode>] [-ForcePromptAnswer <DialogResult[]>] [-WhatIf] [-Confirm]
[<CommonParameters>]Description
Remove a parameter by Position or Label. Removing a fixed slot (positions 1-5) resets it to Unused without changing its position, and resets its label to the default (e.g. "Parameter #1"). Removing an extra parameter (position 6+) shifts all later extras down by one, changing their {n} tokens. Applies to CommandLine, PowerShell, ReportTool, and SessionTool entries. Use -Set to persist the change immediately.
Examples
Example 1
Remove the first extra parameter and save.
Example 2
Remove all parameters labelled Region (case-insensitive) and save.
Parameters
-Confirm
Prompts for confirmation before running the cmdlet.
-ForcePromptAnswer
Switch to use with caution. It will automatically answer prompt asking yes/no, yes/no/cancel, or ok/cancel questions. In case of multiple prompts, multiple values can be passed to this parameter. Here are the accepted values:
Yes: Accept the prompt. Cover the OK and Automatic value.
No: Refuse the yes/no/cancel prompt. "Cancel" is the fallback option if there is no "No" option.
Cancel: Cancel the yes/no/cancel prompt. "No" is the fallback option if there is no "Cancel" option.
-InputObject
Entry to modify. Obtained from Get-RDMEntry or New-RDMEntry.
-Label
Label of the parameter(s) to remove. Case-insensitive; applies to all matches. Silent no-op if no match.
-PassThru
Return the modified entry.
-Position
Position ({n} token) of the parameter to remove. 1-5 resets the slot to Unused; 6+ removes the extra (later extras shift down).
-Set
Save the entry in the current data source.
-VaultMode
Vault where the command will be applied. Three choices are offered: - Default: Current vault that has been set. - User: Vault specific to the current user. - Global: Global vault of the workspace.
