### Synopsis

Exports an X509 certificate.

### Syntax

#### Pfx

```
Export-RDMX509Certificate [-ExportDestinationPath] <string> -InputObject <PSConnection> -Pfx
 -Encryption <X509PfxEncryption> -Password <string> [-IncludeAllCertificates]
 [-VaultMode <VaultMode>] [-ForcePromptAnswer <DialogResult[]>] [-WhatIf] [-Confirm]
 [<CommonParameters>]
```

#### Pem

```
Export-RDMX509Certificate [-ExportDestinationPath] <string> -InputObject <PSConnection> -Pem
 [-ExportPrivateKeyPath <string>] [-IncludeAllCertificates] [-VaultMode <VaultMode>]
 [-ForcePromptAnswer <DialogResult[]>] [-WhatIf] [-Confirm] [<CommonParameters>]
```

#### Der

```
Export-RDMX509Certificate [-ExportDestinationPath] <string> -InputObject <PSConnection> -Der
 [-ExportPrivateKeyPath <string>] [-IncludeAllCertificates] [-VaultMode <VaultMode>]
 [-ForcePromptAnswer <DialogResult[]>] [-WhatIf] [-Confirm] [<CommonParameters>]
```

### Description

Exports an X509 certificate. The allowed formats are .pfx, .pem or .der; the format must be flagged (-Pfx, -Pem, or -Der). Also requires export destination path. If using .pfx format, requires an encryption method to be specified (in other formats, this is automatically set as 'Default'), along with password. If using .pem or .der format, requires an export destination path for the private key to be specified.

### Examples

#### Example 1

```powershell
PS C:\> Get-RDMEntry -IncludeDocumentsStoredInDatabase -IncludeLocalPlaylists -IncludeUserSpecificSettings -Name MyOtherCert |
    Export-RDMX509Certificate -Pem C:\Users\myuser\Downloads\myexport.der -ExportPrivateKeyPath C:\Users\myuser\Downloads\myexport.key -IncludeAllCertificates
```

Export the provided certificate in .der format, specifying its export path along with its private key's export path.

#### Example 2

```powershell
PS C:\> $CertToExport = Get-RDMEntry -IncludeDocumentsStoredInDatabase -IncludeLocalPlaylists -IncludeUserSpecificSettings -Name MyOtherCert;
    PS C:\> Export-RDMX509Certificate -Pfx C:\Users\myuser\Downloads\myexport.pfx -Encryption TripleDES_SHA1 -Password 12345 -InputObject $CertToExport
```

Export the provided certificate in .pfx format, specifying its encryption method and password.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.devolutions.net/powershell/powershell-commands/export-rdmx509certificate.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
