# Middleware

Il middleware viene eseguito durante ogni richiesta HTTP dal server PowerShell Universal. Le offre la possibilità di personalizzare funzionalità della richiesta come il codice di stato, le intestazioni e i cookie.

### Middleware.ps1

Il file middleware.ps1 può essere creato nella cartella `.universal` utilizzando il cmdlet `New-PSUMiddleware`.

Ogni istanza di middleware riceve un oggetto [HttpContext](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/aspnet/core/fundamentals/use-http-context?view=aspnetcore-7.0) quando viene chiamata. Il middleware deve restituire true o false. Se viene restituito false, il middleware smetterà di passare il contesto agli elementi aggiuntivi della pipeline del middleware.

L'esempio seguente aggiunge un cookie di test alla risposta.
