# First login to Remote Desktop Manager with the Devolutions Password Manager browser extension

The Devolutions Password Manager browser extension is enabled by default in the Remote Desktop Manager entry properties. If disabled, it can be re-enabled by selecting ***Default (Enabled)*** or ***Enabled*** from the Devolutions Password Manager browser extension drop-down list.

Follow these steps to connect Remote Desktop Manager to the Devolutions Password Manager browser extension:

1. Open Remote Desktop Manager and keep it running, then click on the Devolutions Password Manager browser extension icon in any browser.
2. Choose Remote Desktop Manager in the list.
3. Enter a name for this association in the text box.

4. Click on ***Associate with*** **Remote Desktop Manager**.
5. Click ***Yes*** in **Remote Desktop Manager** to accept the association request.
6. Click on the icon in the web browser to validate that the Devolutions Password Manager browser extension is now paired to **Remote Desktop Manager**.
