# Gestione dei segreti

La **gestione dei segreti** nella gestione degli accessi privilegiati (PAM) si concentra sull'archiviazione, sul controllo e sulla [rotazione](/pam/it/concepts/password-rotation.md) sicuri di informazioni sensibili come password amministrative, chiavi API e certificati. È un aspetto fondamentale per proteggere gli [account privilegiati](/pam/it/concepts/privileged-account.md) e ridurre al minimo il rischio di furto o uso improprio delle credenziali.

In Devolutions PAM, i segreti sono archiviati in modo sicuro nelle casseforti PAM e possono essere configurati per la rotazione e la scadenza automatiche. Utilizzando l'[accesso just-in-time](/pam/it/concepts/just-in-time-elevation.md), gli utenti possono richiedere l'accesso temporaneo a un segreto senza mai visualizzare la password.
