# Privilegio minimo

Il principio del **privilegio minimo** (PoLP) è un concetto di sicurezza fondamentale che richiede che a utenti, applicazioni e sistemi venga concesso solo l'accesso minimo necessario per svolgere le proprie funzioni. Ciò limita il potenziale impatto di account compromessi o di vulnerabilità del software, aiutando le organizzazioni a controllare l'esposizione al rischio e a proteggere le risorse sensibili.

In pratica, il privilegio minimo può essere potenziato con l'[elevazione just-in-time (JIT)](/pam/it/concepts/just-in-time-elevation.md), che fornisce un accesso temporaneo e limitato nel tempo agli [account privilegiati](/pam/it/concepts/privileged-account.md) o ai sistemi solo quando necessario. Ciò riduce i privilegi permanenti e semplifica l'audit.

Il privilegio minimo differisce dallo [zero-standing privilege (ZSP)](/pam/it/concepts/zero-standing-privilege.md), che mira a eliminare completamente ogni accesso privilegiato persistente, basandosi esclusivamente sull'accesso JIT. Sebbene entrambi gli approcci riducano l'esposizione, il privilegio minimo include spesso diritti di accesso statici ma limitati, mentre lo ZSP punta a una completa assenza di privilegi di base.
