The recovery key contains a key that will be required in case the Devolutions Account password is lost or reset. If the password is forgotten, the recovery key is the only way to recover access to Devolutions Hub. The key restores the link between your Devolutions Account and your Devolutions Hub (Devolutions Hub Business ,Devolutions Hub Personal and Devolutions Hub Business Free).
A temporary recovery key is sent automatically in a welcome email when a Devolutions Hub Business, Devolutions Hub Business Free, or Devolutions Hub Personal account is created. After 30 days, you will be prompted to re-generate and re-download your recovery key. This new recovery key will not expire.

Go to your Devolutions Account.

Enter your username and click Continue.

Click Forgot Password to receive an access code via email.

Enter the access code received by email and click Next.

The Retrieve recovery key window opens. Check I understand that without my recovery key, I will no longer be able to access Devolutions Hub Business and/or Devolutions Hub Personal using this key.
Make sure that you have the recovery key at hand before you continue.

Click Generate a new encryption key.

Select I understand and accept the risks and click Next.

Type the new password and click Update my password.

Go to the Devolutions Hub.

The emergency reset code page opens.

Enter the emergency reset code version.

Click on the lock to access the Devolutions Hub.
Click on the lock to access your Devolutions Hub Business
The recovery key can be reset and downloaded again by going to Administration – Generate recovery key in the Devolutions Hub.

Devolutions does not retain the encryption keys; therefore, it is imperative to maintain a secure and reliable method for regaining access in the event of an emergency. After six months, Devolutions Hub will prompt Hub owners to validate their recovery key This allows owners to verify that their current recovery key remains valid and accessible, or to generate a new one if required.
