# Change the Devolutions Gateway certificate

Devolutions Gateway certificates can be changed quickly and easily in the Devolutions Server Console. Follow the instructions below:

1. Open the Devolutions Server Console, and click on the ***Edit*** button located in the ***Devolutions Gateway*** section of the ***Companions*** tab.

2. Then, change the ***HTTP listener*** to ***https***, and click on the ellipsis button (***…***) in the ***Certificate file*** field under the ***Certificate configuration*** heading.

3. Choose the certificate `.pfx` file to switch to, and click ***Ok*** to save the changes.
4. Wait until the service restarts or do it manually in the Windows Services console.
5. Finally, verify the health of the Devolutions Gateway as described in [Troubleshooting Devolutions Gateway](https://docs.devolutions.net/gateway/kb/troubleshooting-articles/gateway-troubleshooting/#verify-a-gateways-health).
