# Gateway ruleset configuration in Devolutions Server

Restrict network access and segment traffic without creating a new Gateway instance on a different machine with the help of Gateway rulesets. Rules can be configured to allow or deny connections by IPs, subnets, IP ranges, or domains. What's more, security rules can be enforced to allow or deny access to specific users or user groups or at vault level. Follow the steps below to quickly set up a Gateway ruleset in Devolutions Server:

1. Navigate to ***Administration*** – ***Devolutions Gateway***.
2. Click on ***Add*** (***+***) and select ***Gateway ruleset***.

5. Cick on ***Save***.
