Configuration of the data source

When configuring a data source in Workspace desktop app, you will have a different choice depending on where you decided to store your data.

1. In Workspace desktop app, select Add data source (+).

2. Choose Devolutions Server.

3. Paste the URL in the Server URL field.

4. Select Add. You will be redirected to connect to Devolutions Server.

5. When the connection succeeds, Workspace desktop app connects to your data source.

1. In Workspace desktop app, select Add data source (+).

2. Choose Devolutions Hub Business.

3. Choose one option:

   Select from your account

   1. Enter your Devolutions Account email and password.

   2. Select the Devolutions Hub associated with your account.

   3. You are redirected to authorize the connection.

   4. When the connection succeeds, Workspace desktop app connects to your Devolutions Hub.

   Enter my domain manually

   1. In Hub domain name, enter the domain of the Devolutions Hub Business you want to connect to.

   2. Select Add.

   3. You are redirected to sign in and authorize your account.

   4. When the connection succeeds, Workspace desktop app connects to your Devolutions Hub.

1. In Workspace desktop app, select Add data source (+).

2. Select Devolutions Hub Personal.

3. Sign in to your Devolutions Account to authorize the connection.

4. Once the connection is successful, you will be connected.

1. In Workspace desktop app, select Add data source (+).

2. Select Create a data source.

3. Choose one of the following:

   • Devolutions Hub Business Free

   • Devolutions Hub Business

   • Devolutions Server

   • Devolutions Hub Personal

4. Choose one of the following: Devolutions Hub Business Free, Devolutions Hub Business, or Devolutions Hub Personal.

5. Select one option:

   Sign in

   1. Select your Devolutions Account.

   2. Add the Company name.

   3. Enter the desired domain for your Devolutions Hub.

   4. Choose your Region.

   5. Agree with Devolutions Terms of online services and privacy policy.

   6. Select Create your Hub free.

   7. You are prompted to sign in to Workspace desktop app.

   8. When the connection succeeds, Workspace desktop app connects to your Devolutions Hub.

   Select Download recovery key and store it in a safe location. If you lose access to your Devolutions Hub, the recovery key is required to regain access.

   Create an account

   1. Complete the Devolutions Account sign-up form in your browser, then select Create account.

   2. Open the activation email and follow the link to activate your account.

   3. You are redirected to sign in and authorize the connection.

   4. Create your Devolutions Hub when prompted.

For the Devolutions Server, you will need to refer to the link provided when selecting it. The installation guide provides all the information needed to create the Devolutions Server.
