# Entry locked on edit

Users may occasionally encounter an issue in Devolutions Cloud where an entry displays a **Locked (Edit)** status. This lock prevents further edits until it is revoked.

Only the user who locked the entry or an administrator can unlock it.

### Solution

1. Sign in to your Devolutions Cloud account.
2. Navigate to the vault and locate the locked entry.
3. In the entry overview, find the green prompt indicating ***Locked for edit by me***.
4. Click the ***x*** next to the lock prompt to remove the locked status.
