# Synchronizer

A synchronizer automatically imports and updates entries in Remote Desktop Manager by pulling connection data from external systems into vaults. Instead of manually recreating accounts or servers, synchronizers keep structures aligned with sources such as Active Directory, cloud directories, or virtualization platforms.

When those vaults are backed by Devolutions Cloud, the synchronized entries and credentials are stored securely in Devolutions Cloud while Remote Desktop Manager handles the synchronization logic. This model lets teams leverage Devolutions Cloud for centralized storage, auditing, and reporting, while using synchronizers in Remote Desktop Manager to reduce manual data entry and keep inventories current.
