# Documents and attachments

Documents and attachments in Devolutions Cloud store files and rich text notes directly on entries so context travels with secrets. The Documentation section captures procedures, troubleshooting steps, or business details, while the Attachments section securely holds artifacts such as configuration files, license PDFs, or exports under the same permissions as the entry. Because these elements are encrypted with the rest of your Devolutions Cloud data, they can safely contain sensitive operational information.

A typical usage is to attach a runbook and log snippet to a privileged account entry so anyone opening it from the web interface or the Devolutions Password Manager browser extension sees both the credentials and all supporting material in a single, auditable place.
