# Manage your workspace

Manage vaults, entries, users, groups, access, and activity logs of your workspace from a terminal with Devolutions CLI.

Devolutions CLI administers the workspace of your current context: Devolutions Cloud, Devolutions Server, or a local Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager profile. Vault and entry tasks are under `devo vault` and `devo entry`. Administration tasks, such as users, groups, roles, access, and logs, are under `devo admin`.

These pages cover the tasks you'll do most often. Every command and option, including the ones these pages don't mention, is in the [command reference](/cli/reference/commands.md).

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Manage vaults and entries</strong></td><td>Select workspaces and vaults, find entries, read and change their details, create, update, move, and delete them.</td><td><a href="/cli/for-devops-and-administrators/manage/vaults-and-entries.md">Manage vaults and entries</a></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Manage users, groups, and access</strong></td><td>Add and update users, organize groups, grant access, and handle licenses, gateways, and privileged access.</td><td><a href="/cli/for-devops-and-administrators/manage/users-and-access.md">Manage users, groups, and access</a></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Review activity logs</strong></td><td>Export the logs of a local profile to a CSV file, list Devolutions Cloud and Devolutions Server logs, and see the history of one entry.</td><td><a href="/cli/for-devops-and-administrators/manage/logs.md">Review activity logs</a></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Look up a command</strong></td><td>Every command, option, and default value, generated from Devolutions CLI itself.</td><td><a href="/cli/reference/commands.md">Commands</a></td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="info" %}
Commands that change something make no change until you add `--yes`. Without it, they stop with a `confirmationRequired` error. This keeps a script or an AI agent from changing your workspace by accident. See [Run without prompts](/cli/for-devops-and-administrators/automate/non-interactive.md).
{% endhint %}

Not every workspace type offers every task. When the selected workspace can't do something, the command says so instead of failing silently. See [A command says the workspace doesn't support it](/cli/help/troubleshooting/not-supported.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.devolutions.net/cli/for-devops-and-administrators/manage.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
